Duane Cornelius

Duane is a Chartered Professional Accountant and Chartered Accountant who trained at KPMG before building his expertise across finance, operations, IT, and strategic planning in multiple industries. His experience spans from startups to national-scale organizations, where he’s consistently delivered measurable results: 38% productivity increases, 33% inventory reductions, 14% revenue growth through process optimization, and significant cost savings through systems integration and workflow automation.

Beyond traditional accounting, Duane brings external CFO capabilities to client engagements. He’s redesigned order picking algorithms, restructured ERP systems, developed currency hedging programs for multi-million dollar inventory purchases, and revised service line sales cycles to improve utilization and efficiency. His strength lies in identifying opportunities that others miss and implementing solutions that create lasting operational improvements.

When Duane purchased the firm in January 2025, he had a clear vision: to build an accounting practice that functioned as a true business partner, not just a compliance vendor. His search for a senior-level partner led him to Sunita through a recruiter. Their initial conversation revealed shared values about client service, and when Sunita expressed her own desire for ownership, the partnership formed naturally. Today, Duane focuses on the conversations that happen after the tax return is filed: where is the business headed, what systems need to be in place, and how do we get there faster? He helps clients see around corners, make informed decisions about growth, and operate more efficiently and strategically. That’s where he believes the real value lies.
